Mattapoisett’s Jeff Angeley Is the SouthCoast Music Man – wbsm.com

Jeff Angeley loves music. For 20 years, he’s been teaching music to young and old throughout the SouthCoast. He also finds great joy in bringing people together in free public events to make music

Angeley was a guest this week on Townsquare Sunday, discussing his enjoyment of music and teaching music. He also entertained us with two songs of the season, playing one on the ukulele and one on the violin.

Jeff Angeley calls his company Southcoast Lessons, and teaches music out of his home in Mattapoisett. He offers lessons in-person and some remotely, and has created outdoor and indoor venues there.

During the past year, Angeley has created several free participatory events that have delighted those who attended. They include an Old Time Fiddle Session in Downtown New Bedford in September, New Sounds of Silents in December at the Mattapoisett Museum (where Angeley and other local musicians play live music to silent movies), and a Mattapoisett Muse Open Mic session this past Friday where people are welcomed to share their talents.

Angeley loves to make music and welcomes all of us to join in. His Townsquare Sunday interview can be heard here:
