Pick of the Day: Restored 1952 Chevrolet Styleline – The ClassicCars.com Journal

The post-war Chevrolets may not be as popular as Ford’s “shoebox” design, but the Pick of the Day is a gorgeous example of what Chevy had to offer. The car is a 1952 Chevrolet Styleline DeLuxe sedan that has been restored with a head-turning appearance.

The car is being offered for sale on ClassicCars.com by its private owner in Lakeside, California, and still carries its original 235cid Blue Flame Six engine and Powerglide automatic transmission.

The owner notes that the car was restored by M&J Restorations in Santee, California, and the result of that work “gets thumbs up everywhere I go in it.”

The seller says the car originally was sold in California and has no rust, pointing out, however, that it has had “some work done on the floor and trunk pans.”

Also, it has new brakes and rebuilt master cylinder, a new metal gas tank, rebuilt gauges, new glass and rubber, new upholstery and new tires. It also has a new-old-stock steering wheel, and “every piece of chrome and stainless trim has been rechromed or polished.”

The car’s body is Sunlit Green — a shade the seller saw and liked on a Lexus that pulled up next to the Chevy at a stoplight one day — with a white roof.

The car is being offered for $30,000. To view this listing on ClassicCars.com, see Pick of the Day.
