SUPERIOR — Three vehicles were destroyed in a Saturday morning garage fire on Bridgeview Drive.

The Superior Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 4 Bridgeview Drive at around 8:20 a.m. Saturday morning. Crews found a three-stall attached garage with a ‘large amount’ of fire coming out of the three overhead garage doors and smoke showing underneath the home’s roof.

According to a news release, crews had to use ‘significant water and foam’ to extinguish the fire. The fire was attacked through the garage doors while ventilating and providing air pressure to prevent the fire from spreading into the home.

The two occupants reported the fire and were safely outside when crews arrived. They are staying with friends until the home can be made inhabitable.

The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined. The vehicles inside were ruled a total loss with significant damage to the garage. The home suffered only light smoke damage. Damages are estimated at around $150,000.
